BDFPA announces first centre of excellence

The BDFPA is pleased to announce its first centre of excellence within the UK.  Motiv8 gym in Kings Lynn, owned by Mark Flowers and the location for the same named club, is the training venue of James Jeffries, a professionally qualified coach.

As a centre of excellence Motiv8 will provide regular training camps, seminar locations and professional training and courses as part of the development of BDFPA lifters.  In association with the BDFPA’s training provider, KBT, the gym will host a number of regular courses aimed at not only improving the quality of lifters but their Nutritional understanding as well as ensuring individuals are in a position to enhance or obtain Skills Active and REPs accredited qualifications.

James Jeffries will also take on the position of BDFPA Bench Press Performance Director.  Currently he runs a number of regular clubs that have attracted a large number of local lifters.  The intention is for him to co-ordinate and run a number of regular training camps and seminars that BDFPA members can attend in order to improve their technique and skills specifically in the Bench Press.

Applications from other affiliated gyms are invited to develop a nucleus of gyms holding the same designation.  The pre-requisites for an application to become a centre of excellence are:

1.             Club membership of the facility

2.             Qualified Coach at the location

3.             Drugs-free ethos

4.             Ability to host courses

5.             Ability to host seminars
